Session Description: Learn how Delaware State University is using Virtual Reality and Spatial Computing in Language and Culture Studies to immerse students in language learning and International Culture

Brody Bluemel, PhD is the Chairperson and Professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of Languages & Literatures. His research focuses on educational technology, bilingual education, and dual-language immersion. His most recent project was to develop a digital instructional resource book for educators for the implementation of immersive technology in foreign language education. He is currently developing immersive language learning experiences using Apple’s Vision Pro and other VR headsets. His teaching experience includes intercultural communication, Chinese, German, and TESOL.

Students from any academic discipline are invited to submit abstracts to present their research during the event.
Abstract submissions are accepted through vFairs. The submission deadline is March 21, 2025.
Your abstract should provide a concise summary of your research, including the research question, methods, findings, and conclusion.
Yes, one abstract per person or one per group.
Poster presentation must be submitted as a PDF and uploaded on the vfairs website. POSTERS must be submitted by March 21, 2025.
Only abstracts are required for submission for oral presenters. For poster presenters you must submit an abstract and a PowerPoint in a PDF format.
